South Carolina Funeral Directors Association (SCFDA) continues to fulfill the mission and vision the organization had from its beginnings in 1898: To give funeral homes the information and tools they need to reach a superior level of excellence and ethical practices.

SCFDA sets industry standards that the public can trust. We continue to provide accurate, up-to-date information about the funeral home industry to members of the public so they have the facts they need to make informed decisions when they plan a funeral.

History
South Carolina Funeral Directors Association (SCFDA) began in Charleston in 1898. Today, the organization has grown to more than 500 members, including firm and affiliate members.

The SCFDA elects officers annually to serve its members. The organization also employs two staff employees to assist the membership and the public.
